About METS

History

METS 2012 is set to be a sensational landmark trade show as we celebrate 25 consecutive annual shows dedicated to the global marine leisure industry.

How it started
METS started back in 1988 with little over 100 exhibitors and has built steadily year by year into the world’s biggest and best attended marine equipment trade show. 1,331 exhibitors took part in 2011. As the leading product showcase, it has been the launch pad for many, many innovations, a place to spot emerging trends and - above all - see the world’s leading marine products. It is also renowned for networking opportunities that extend beyond show hours.

As it grew
Over the years, METS has undergone numerous transformations including the move to larger exhibition halls, a growing conference and seminar programme and the introduction of specialist pavilions such as the much-praised SuperYacht Pavilion. Its basic concept has, however, never changed. It remains a three-day trade-only event with uniform shell scheme stands that ensure the main focus is always on the exhibits. And the range of products is unbeatable, from propulsion, navigation, construction materials, communications and safety equipment to furniture, fittings, electrical installations, clothing and marine paints.

We hope you will join us for this year’s celebrations !
