The two companies settle out of court for undisclosed terms.
Johnson Outdoors says it has reached an out-of-court settlement with Navico Inc regarding a patent infringement case. A statement says the two companies have resolved their dispute relating to Johnson Outdoors’ patented Humminbird Side Imaging sonar technology and Navico's StructureScan accessory to its displays.
The case was filed in the US District Court in Alabama in January 2010 by Johnson Outdoors, which alleged that Navico had infringed on four patents for its side-view sonar.
The case was dismissed after the settlement was announced. "The companies have mutually agreed that the terms of the out-of-court settlement will remain confidential," says the statement.
