Dutch boatbuilder to put into operation 1.2 ha facility for interior constructionMbr/>
Linssen Yachts has started manufacturing from its new 1.2 hectare interior construction facility. The Dutch boatbuilder bought the facility from Westrom last year.
Based in Echt - approximately 10km from the boatyard in Maasbracht, Holland - the 5,900m2 factory, 2,100m2 bigger than its previous facility, has been set up for the prefabrication of interior modules.
Managing director Ruben Linssen says: “This investment is an important step in our strategy to centralise and optimise the production and logistics of interiors. The launch of this project is a further step in theserial production of steel motor yachts.”
The new facility features a Homag twin-table CNC portal milling machine, a computer-guided Homag Bargstedt board warehouse, and a Homag Brandt edge banding machine. Various other peripherals have been installed, tested and commissioned.
