 Offshore Systems reports bumper 2011

Sales rise by 45 per cent compared to 2010, with 51 per cent increase in net profit.

UK manufacturer Offshore Systems has reported a 45 per cent gain in sales during the last 12 months. The company has also announced a net profit rise of 51 per cent compared to 2010.
Bruce Coward, managing director, says: “We designed some key new products during 2011 in response to specific customer demand which then went on to be a success amongst other boatbuilders around the world.”

The company introduced nearly half a dozen new products to its NMEA2000 range in 2011. To meet the increased design and manufacturing output, the firm hired three new engineers and expanded its West Hampshire office space.

US wholesaler distributor Gemeco joined Offshore Systems’ worldwide network in September last year and the company claims it has strengthened its trade in the country. Sales have also increased in Europe.

“As well as appointing a number of new distributors in 2011, we signed up to some significant contracts during the year with leading boatbuilders in both the commercial and leisure market sectors,” Coward explains.

Offshore Systems manufactures digital vessel monitoring and control products.
