Orscheln Products LLC said it has acquired a majority interest in Glendinning Marine Products Inc. Terms were not disclosed.Glendinning, which is headquartered in Conway, South Carolina, was founded in 1972. The company now has a global presence, and develops and manufactures shifters, throttles, synchronizers, actuators and other products. It also manufactures the Cablemaster and Hosemaster product lines.
“Besides broadening our Marine product line, Glendinning adds market share and solutions not only applicable to the marine industry but also the industrial, agricultural, construction, heavy truck, military, and rail industries,” said Bob Orscheln, chief executive of Orscheln Products, in a statement.
Orscheln said that John Glendinning would remain as president of Glendinning Marine Products.
Orscheln Products is a privately held company with sales and manufacturing offices in Moberly, Missouri. Its products include motion control systems, mechanical cables, parking brake systems, control cables, fluid level indicators, electronic throttle control systems and many others. It distributes its product lines in the marine industry as well as other industries.
