As speaker at the ICOMIA World Marina Conference 2016, Oscar Siches was contributing to the session ‘A comprehensive approach on environmental problems and marinas’. He is addressing the need for awareness of marinas for the environmental problems and the responsibility they share to deal with these challenges.
With a navy school background and as offshore racing and cruising yachtsman, Oscar Siches has a broad experience in the boating industry having skippered sail and power yachts in the Med and the Caribbean. Having been partner and manager during 15 years of two marinas in Mallorca Oscar is consultant for projects in various countries, and designer of customized marina elements.
He is a Certified Marina Manager, director of the Global Marina Institute and member of ICOMIA's Marinas Committee, member and news responsible of PIANC RecCom, Spanish expert in yacht harbors at the ISO organization and founding member of the Asia Pacific Superyacht Association.
