Marine Propeller Shafts
Bird Stainless offers precision grinding of stainless steel bar from 2mm diameter up to 240mm diameter, in lengths from 2,500mm to 12,000mm. We can supply to a tolerance of 0.0005" and a surface finish of Ra 35 or better, depending on diameter and grade.
Our facility consists of 5 Lidkoping Centreless Grinding machines with automatic bar feeders, 2 straightening presses and 1 polishing line, giving us the ability to handle volume orders to tight tolerances and lead times.
