Amsterdam — ONE PALMA has been awarded the prestigious DAME Award in the Deck Equipment category for its SOFT STEP+ Mast Work Safety System, unveiled at METSTRADE 2025.
SOFT STEP+ is a breakthrough solution designed to improve safety and comfort when working on a yacht’s mast. Manufactured entirely in 3D-printed titanium and engineered for zero maintenance, the system delivers exceptional durability, ergonomic support, and a dual-purpose safety mechanism.
At the heart of the design is the MWSS (Mast Work Safety System), which transforms the step into a fully integrated workstation. The mechanism functions both as a passive safety anchor point and as an integrated hoist point capable of lifting tools and equipment with a 2:1 ratio — expanding the range of safe working options aloft.
The product features a soft-touch, replaceable deck-grade foam surface, a load capacity of up to 150 kg, and customizable elements such as foam colours and engraved logos. Its titanium construction offers zero galvanic corrosion, excellent fatigue resistance, and a long-lasting, environmentally friendly footprint.
