After a busy consumer boat show season, the Metstrade team is reflecting on Monaco Yacht Show. This show is unique in its exclusivity, with a limited visitor base of ultra-high net worth VIPs who are able to buy many of the €50m+ yachts on display. It is such a critical show for selling yachts to these typically unreachable clients that boat builders are laser-focused on this objective – and anything else is a distraction from this.

The superyacht segment is thriving and there is an increasing interest in owning high value yachts, but it is also competitive with builders creating new yachts with next-level innovation, functionality, features, and sustainability which sets new industry standards. We saw this on display at Monaco Yacht Show. The standard of the yachts is outstanding and the general feedback from the show was very positive. Now is the time to innovate and plan for production.
