Exhibition Manager highlights opportunities

Patricia Becker, Exhibition Manager at Metstrade, said: “This is the most exciting Metstrade to date. Everyone working in the leisure marine industry can find valuable inspiration and gain knowledge. The key for visitors this year is to experience the full event – from meeting fellow professionals, learning from one another, experiencing new and interesting solutions, engaging with the production content programme and side events, and being inspired to innovate. Expect a warm atmosphere, connecting you seamlessly to the global market.”

What to see at Metstrade

The Country Pavilions are a central element to the show, proving a truly global representation of the leisure marine industry. Metstrade 2025 will feature an impressive total of 20 countries represented in 30 pavilions. With growing capabilities in design, electronics, and sustainable solutions, Estonia will be represented with its own national pavilion for the first time.

Sustainable construction materials and innovative technologies

Construction materials will take on greater prominence with a new zone in Hall 11, presenting the latest sustainable composites, bonding technologies, coatings, and 3D printing.

Superyacht Zone expansion and educational programme

Aligned with the sustained positive momentum of the sector, the Superyacht Zone has been significantly enhanced with additional space and now extends across Hall 8, 9 and 10, with a dedicated educational programme to share superyacht sector insights and learnings with the whole leisure marine industry. This Superyacht Zone now also includes an area for the refit market, a Captains’ Club and the new ‘Harbour 8’ event space and premium restaurant where this year’s Boat Builder Awards will be hosted.

Marina & Yard, and Foiling Technology

Other zones include the Marina & Yard, the world’s largest exhibition for the marina industry and the Foiling Technology Zone, highlighting the cutting-edge racing technology which is beginning to influence boat building in the recreational market.

Startups and Young Professionals Club

Metstrade is open to everyone in the leisure marine trade, and this year, startups have a louder voice with two dedicated areas – one for the recreational boating market and another for the superyacht sector.

The Young Professionals Club has also been expanded to better serve and inspire the next generation of talent, and for the first time the show’s age participation limit will be lowered to 16 years and older on November 20, with the introduction of a special student-focused programme.

Hall 13 Inspiration and innovation

Hall 13 has a new layout and is designed to be a fountain of inspiration and knowledge, presenting the best examples from the sector and providing new learning opportunities every day of the show. Here, visitors not only find the nominees of the Boat Builder Awards, but also the nominated products for the prestigious DAME Design Awards, an exemplary showcase of creativity and cutting-edge design, as well as the Next Gen Zone, presenting trailblazing companies which are delivering practical solutions to reduce environmental impact across the sector.

Meaningful connections

Patricia Becker continued: “We have acted on the needs of the industry to create a Metstrade which caters to everyone, brings meaningful connections and answers every question in the sector. There are many familiar faces who return each year as well as visitors who are new to the event - it’s an exciting chapter and we look forward to being the key meeting point for the leisure marine industry.”

Addressing industry challenges through expert talks

Increasing costs, supply chains, changing buyer behaviour, regulations and compliance, macroeconomic conditions and geopolitics, as well as on-going tariffs are just some of the complexities the leisure marine sector is navigating, especially those in the volume segment. Metstrade is the event to explore solutions to many of these pressing topics with three days of talks and discussions on the Metstrade Stage.

Metstade content programme

The International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) will host a series of daily sessions in collaboration with partners such as the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and European Boating Industry (EBI). These sessions, as well as other items in the programme, will provide invaluable insights into the evolving economic, regulatory, and environmental factors shaping the future of the leisure marine industry.

North America Stage for US and Canadian market trends

With the US and Canadian pavilions now located in Hall 12, a dedicated North America stage offers a focused programme on US and Canadian market trends, policy updates, and certification. Co-hosted by NMMA, IBEX and Soundings Trade Only, it features ‘Visionaries and Vino’ dockside chats, expert-led sessions on standards and certification, and discussions on global trade, consumer trends, and innovation.

Networking and collaboration opportunities

As well as these sessions, visitors can learn from each other as collaboration and community is a key element of the Metstrade experience. Visitors and exhibitors can share knowledge of respective markets, discuss trends, and connect to thrive. Many country pavilions will host drinks parties on Wednesday 19 November, providing a relaxed setting for informal networking.

A full list of additional events can be found on the Metstrade website. This includes the Superyacht Forum, the Yacht Racing Forum, and a host of side events organised by Metstrade partners.

Driving business across the world’s leisure marine industry

Niels Klarenbeek, Director Metstrade: “This year’s expansion is not only about scale - it’s about responding to the complex needs of the global marine industry across each unique segment. Metstrade brings the leisure marine industry together under one roof every year, consistently providing the answers to most pressing topics over three days. By gathering annually, we can react to the ever-changing market and anticipate future trends for growth opportunities.”

Metstrade 2025 as a reflection of the leisure marine industry

Metstrade 2025 continues the event’s long-standing role as a reflection of the leisure marine industry it serves. Through thoughtful expansion, careful curation, and ongoing collaboration with sector partners, the show maintains its relevance across all segments of the leisure marine world. Whether visitors are focused on large yacht systems or everyday onboard essentials, Metstrade remains a pivotal moment in the industry calendar to connect, discover, learn, do business and enable even greater success for the years ahead.
