Yachting Ventures announces lineup for Metstrade Startups 2025

Innovation takes centre stage at Metstrade 2025 as Yachting Ventures reveals the 16 startups selected for this year’s Startups area. Designed to spotlight the most promising new technologies in the marine sector, the Metstrade Startups area has quickly established itself as a springboard for ambitious founders.

Third year in a row

Now in its third year, the collaboration between Yachting Ventures and Metstrade reinforces the show’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting emerging businesses. As the world’s largest trade exhibition for the leisure marine industry, Metstrade has long been a launchpad for groundbreaking solutions, attracting thousands of industry professionals and decision-makers from across the globe.

Pitching competition

In addition to the dedicated area for Metstrade Startups, Yachting Ventures will once again host its popular pitching competition, where five selected startups will present their ideas to an audience of investors, industry leaders, and potential partners. This high-energy event has become a highlight of the programme, sparking conversations, collaborations, and investment opportunities.

By providing a platform for emerging businesses to connect with the wider industry, the initiative not only drives forward new ideas but also helps shape the future of the marine sector.

Which startups can you expect to see?

  • Marlic A/S is developing innovative steering solutions for recreational boating. Their patent-pending all-in-one design connects seamlessly to electronic steering such as autopilot and joystick, while eliminating electro-hydraulic systems and electric actuators. 
  • Marine Innovations Limited design smart, functional boating accessories that enhance safety, convenience, and performance on the water. Their flagship product, the Adjustable Fender Mate™, simplifies fender management with quick attachment and adjustment.
  • Linnext GmbH manufactures Tender-Rest dinghy supports for yachts and boats, designed for secure and practical storage of tenders on bathing platforms and decks, focusing on innovation, safety, and convenience.
  • Maritronix Develops, distributes and implements future-proof integrated ship automation systems.
  • ONETCALL is an innovative, patented communication system for airlines and shipping companies that lets passengers use their own smartphones and numbers seamlessly via satellite connection.
  • Effetto Venturi SA are building GiPSy, an innovative, autonomous buoy system that offers a lightweight, precise alternative to anchoring for water events. 
  • Boatee are building the ‘Smart 1.3’ the electric outboard that’s revolutionising the boating experience, delivering a seamless blend of performance, sustainability, and effortless operation.
  • Competr are building the Competr outboard, an ultra-light electric outboard. Their system is the first to break away from conventional design, delivering more power with less weight, without the noise, fuel, or fumes. 
  • Boat How To are creating online courses and guides to help sailors enjoy troublefree boating, and solve both common and not so common technical problems on their boats.
  • Ecomar Propulsion research, develop and produce high performance electric and hybrid hydrogen marine propulsion systems.
  • RST-5 is a high-performance, biodegradable cleaning solution designed to replace acetone and other harmful solvents in the composites and yacht-building industries.
  • Jaba Marine creates the highest quality exterior furniture hardware, with their initial showpiece being an elegantly designed door hinge, intended for thickness up to 23mm.
  • Compute Maritime is building NeuralShipper™, the world’s first generative AI-powered solution. Developed to design, simulate, and optimise a wide range of maritime assets, including hull forms, propellers, and hydrofoils
  • Titanium Technology delivers sustainable, biofouling-free solutions for maritime structures and vessels, using titanium and electrochemistry to keep components clean over time without harming the environment.
  • SmartdrinX offers a unique drinks experience for yachts, that enhances both functionality and style on the water. Their systems are built to withstand the harsh marine environment while providing bespoke design options to meet the unique needs of yacht owners.

  • Kaj tribaš d.o.o. is developing boat decking to withstand all weather conditions. It is made of UV-resistant PE/EVA foam material, which is waterproof and provides exceptional adhesion to a dry or wet surface.
