CT FlexiFurl

The CT FlexiFurl is a low-cost, light weight, flexible sail batten for use with furling headsails. It is made from strips of polycarbonate plastic which are moulded into curves. Pairs of strips are bound with fabric; this allows the 2 sides of the batten to move independently to a degree. As the FlexiFurl curves into the aerofoil shape of a sail the polycarbonate strips maintain stiffness. This provides more support to the leech of a headsail than can be provided with vertical battens.
