Developed under Wilks, a Flexiteek product, Xtrude represents a major step forward in marine fendering technology, delivering the same trusted durability and performance that professionals expect, with a firm commitment to sustainability at every stage of production.

Through recent advances in materials technology, the Flexiteek team has engineered Xtrude incorporating 50% recycled Flexiteek 3 production surplus. This innovation significantly reduces the use of virgin raw materials and closed the loop on production surplus while maintaining the quality, weather resistance, and longevity synonymous with Wilks products.

Made in part from bio-attributed PVC derived from renewable Tall Oil, which is a by-product of sustainably managed forests. Xtrude delivers the same exceptional durability and performance as traditional fossil-based PVC while significantly reducing environmental impact. Incorporating surplus material from Flexiteek’s own production processes, Xtrude also helps close the loop on manufacturing waste, contributing to a circular, low-carbon approach to product design. By choosing Xtrude, marine professionals can help lower greenhouse gas emissions and support a more sustainable marine industry.

Tritone is crafted using Flexiteek 3, which was nominated for the prestigious Dame Design Award at Metstrade 2024. Available in three colour options – Teak, Scrubbed, and Ash – each Tritone deck features a variation of light and dark tones within each ‘plank.’ The variation in colours enhances the appearance of the deck, creating a dynamic, natural wood finish.

Since its foundation in 2000, Flexiteek has driven innovation in synthetic marine decking, firstly with the 2014 launch of Flexiteek 2G and again in 2024 with Flexiteek 3, enhancing sustainability and aesthetics, with improved graining, and a wider selection of colours – including the new lighter colour, Ash. Additionally, Flexiteek 3 is made from bio-attributed PVC, a non-fossil fuel, renewable material from sustainable forestry.
