Jefa Steering is proud to present Electric Steer, a groundbreaking and efficient steering solution designed to revolutionise the handling of all outboard engines. DAME Nominated 2024 and on display at METS in Hall 13, home to the prestigious DAME Design Awards showcase in addition to a live demonstration on the Jefa Steering stand 12.540.

Electric Steer is easy to install and eliminates the need for traditional hydraulic systems or conduit cable steering. With a simple connection to the engine, steering head, and a 12v marine battery, the system offers an exceptionally quick five-turn hard-over response, making steering more intuitive and precise.

Electric Steer is autopilot-ready and compatible with a wide range of autopilot brands, making it a versatile and flexible choice for boat builders and sailors alike. It’s design and functionality can only be surpassed by the groundbreaking innovation in the installation process. Whether for new installations or retrofits, it can be completed in a fraction of the time compared to traditional hydraulic or conduit-based steering systems. 

Jefa Steering brings over 25 years of experience in sailboat steering into this product, now extending our expertise to the powerboat market. The product is available with various mounting kits to meet specific needs, making it a complete solution for modern boat design. It enables users to take a step forward towards a more sustainable and user-friendly future for motorboats by eliminating oil from the steering system, both in new installations and in the refurbishment of older boats.
