VitalStream for Superyachts

As superyachts cruise further from traditional healthcare infrastructure, access to timely medical expertise remains a key operational challenge. MedAire is addressing this need through VitalStream, an innovative solution that enhances how medical information is collected and shared between yachts and shoreside physicians.

CE certified and FDA cleared, VitalStream enables yacht crew members to transmit real-time vital sign data directly to MedAire's medical professionals, supporting faster assessment, remote monitoring and more informed clinical decisions.

“Managing an ill patient remotely can be extremely challenging,” says Dr Mara Mattioli, Medical Director, Luxury Yachts. “We often rely on non-medical professionals to describe symptoms, and phone communications can be unstable. VitalStream’s real-time data allows for more accurate diagnoses, continuous monitoring, and informed clinical decisions, ultimately improving patient outcomes.”

Ideally suited for the superyacht environment, the lightweight wearable can be fitted in approximately 30 seconds and requires minimal training. VitalStream transmits more than 20 vital sign parameters to a secure cloud-based platform, including blood pressure, heart rate, ECG data, respiratory rate, body temperature and haemodynamic measurements.

The launch of VitalStream forms part of MedAire's continued commitment to advancing medical care at sea.
