WINDLASS ORCHID

STAINLESS STEEL VERTICAL WINDLASS

Orchid is a stainless steel AISI vertical windlass. Available in high or low profile version, with different motorizations, it is suggested for boats up to 22 meters. Orchid can bring 8mm, 10mm and 12mm chains and comes with built-in chain counter sensor. Possibility of 12V, 24V, 230V, 400V or hydraulic motorizations. Rope-chain system for 12mm chain compatible with 3-strand 18mm or 19 mm rope.

NV16

NV 16 is a stainless steel AISI 316 vertical windlass. Available in electric and hydraulic versions, it is suggested for boats up to 42 meters. It can bring chains from 12mm to 16mm with stud link. The electromagnetic brake and dog clutches instead of conical clutches are standard.

The product is available with a 24V or 48V power supply. More and more shipyards are building 48V boats to reduce weight and handle lower currents.The planetary gear has an efficiency of around 90% compared to approximately 60% for a worm gear, meaning that the same motor has higher performance. Traditional 90° capstans need access from below deck for both installation and maintenance, which is often difficult.Thanks to the in-line layout and optional counter plate, this is an easy fit product.
