The NOMEN cleat can be folded down while on sea. No lines can get caught during manoeuvring and no one can be injured. Thanks to its beauty, the Nomen cleat does not need to be built into the deck. It remains in place on deck, awaiting the moment it is needed. Functioning: The gentle locking of the cleat arms in the two end positions is produced by an elastic ball which is located between the two arms. This cleat always remains closed - belayed or not
The turning ends consistantly keep the cleat closed. No lines can be caught nor can anyone be injured. Using only one hand the CLIP cleat is very easy to make fast with. NOMEN Cleat 4 - The Platform Cleat
The new NOMEN Cleat 4 has been developed for the use on platforms and boat garages where tenders or toys are moored on large yachts. When not in use, the cleat disappears under a spring-loaded stainless steel cover that is flush with the deck. The cleat is held securely in the upper and lower positions by a stainless steel spring, so that no loose parts can hinder the closing process on pivoting platforms.Read more
