Posidonia is a company that designs, builds and certifies Anchors, Chains and Deck Equipment for the Naval, Yachting, Refit and Naval Defense sectors.
It's made in Italy for mooring and towing which is qualified and certified for highly customized products.
Thanks to our Pull Test, IACS certified and the biggest in the Mediterranean (500 Tonnes), it certifies its products with all the IACS registers for the NAVY national navies of many countries around the world

Posidonia’s quick release hooks are designed and manufactured entirely in Italy, utilizing high-quality materials such as stainless steel and special steel.

These hooks are essential for mooring and towing operations, ensuring safety and reliability even under the most extreme conditions.

A significant example of Posidonia’s ability to customize its products is the quick release hook with a pneumatic piston, developed for a research vessel operating at -50 degrees Celsius. This specific product was optimized for winterization, demonstrating the versatility and adaptability of Posidonia’s hooks to meet the most particular requirements.
Posidonia announces the imminent approval of its new 150-ton quick release hook by RINA (Registro Italiano Navale).

This hook will be installed on an oceanographic vessel and is suitable for all types of ships, both navy and civil.

With an operator effort of less than 15 kg, the hook opens, ensuring efficiency and safety in critical operations.

Posidonia’s quick release hooks are certified according to IACS (International Association of Classification Societies) standards, ensuring that each product meets the international safety and quality requirements. IACS certifications are a hallmark of excellence, making Posidonia’s products a reliable choice for naval operators and industry technicians.

Our Panama chocks start from an international standard (DIN 81915) but have been re-engineered and, while maintaining identical overall dimensions, have very high SWL (safe working load), currently the highest in the world.
Our Panama chocks comply with IMO 1175 and Panama Canal regulations.
Our skilled workers have designed and manufactured an openable Panama chock made of high-strength steel tubes and plates, which has been certified. After designing and building it, we have certified RINA ABS

The anchor with a base plate allows the possibility of a retractable mooring area on board for total comfort during navigation. The base plate can be made from different material to the anchor, hot dip galvanized anchor with mirror polished duplex stainless steel base plate, combining the shiny finish of duplex with the strength of a galvanized anchor.

The PTW+® welded anchors have a very high holding power (SHHP). They are an excellent solution for fast boats (HSC), yachts, and all types of boats that require high-performance anchoring and weight reduction on board: a 50% weight reduction compared to a solid anchor. At Posidonia, we produce the HV® anchor certified as "High Holding Power HHP", which allows for a weight reduction of 25% compared to a mass anchor. The shank can also be shortened by 10%. The weight range of HV® anchors is from 12 kg to 5175 kg.
The HV® anchor has been approved by major classification societies such as ABS, BV, LR, RINA, and RS.

HV® Anchor

The Special Plow anchor is suitable for boats with a bowsprit, both yachts and military vessels. The swivel allows it to adapt to any movement of the boat during mooring. The Special Plow anchor is versatile and very suitable for sandy and muddy bottoms. Posidonia's hhp anchors allow for a 25% weight reduction compared to a mass anchor.  It is possible to shorten the stem by 10%. We can increase the weight on the upper side by up to +10% by using molten zinc to improve  its holding capacity.

The Special Plow anchor is suitable for boats with a bowsprit, both yachts and military vessels.

The Special Bruce anchor is suitable for boats with a bow, both yachts and military vessels. Unlike other anchors of the same model, the Posidonia Special Bruce has high holding power, which allows for a 25% weight reduction compared to a mass anchor. The Special Bruce is suitable for all soft bottoms such as mud, sand, or gravel and provides good holding in rough or rocky terrain. All of our anchors are also available in low magnetic permeability.

The Compact HHP Anchor is mostly for the naval market, but there is nothing to prevent its use in other areas where there are small pockets, therefore small anchors, but high holding power is needed.

The compact high holding power anchor is designed for all boats with small cubbyhole tubes and requiring high performance.  high holding power that saves 25% in weight and size. Its two side plates allow it to penetrate the ground and act in different directions, giving it super robustness.

The Compact HHP Anchor is mostly for the naval market, but there is nothing to prevent its use in other areas where there are small pockets.

Double bollards, welded steel according to the IMO 1175 standard, are designed to provide a safe and stable mooring point for vessels. The two bollard posts provide additional strength and stability to the mooring.

The Smit Brackets is used in various towing situations. It is welded onto the deck and designed for towing operations.

The Smit Brackets operates by using a large sliding steel pin, into which the towing chain is inserted and then securely locked in place.

Posidonia can offer Smit Brackets in various sizes up to 500 tonnes, and more upon request. The Smit Bracket can accommodate not only standard chains, but also chains with chafe gear or towing ropes.
