To help the shipbuilding industry to reduce the CO2 emissions, Sika has developed an ultra-light weight floating floor solutions.

Different types of ships all have floating floors installed for acoustic comfort or as A-60 fire rated floor. Floating floors in larger areas are used on cruise ships, expedition ships, RoRo car ferries and passenger ferries, which are just some of the ships where floating floors are used and where the new Sikafloor® Marine Ultra Lightweight floating floor can be used. By reducing the weight of the ship construction, we can help to minimize the fuel consumption and reduce the emission of CO2!
