The Offshore Rescue knife is dedicated to emergencies, rescue operations, and extreme sports. A standout product in the Wichard marine knife range, it was developed with input from the maritime team of Loire-Atlantique’s Fire and Rescue Department (in West of France).
The new feature of this model is its black color, a design requested
by numerous skippers seeking both performance and aesthetics.
This product will also be showcased at the METS TRADE 2024, from November 19th to 21st.
Thanks to its serrated blade, the Offshore Rescue knife can cut through thick ropes – such as mooring lines – in just 2 seconds. The blade also includes an integrated shackle key. Moreover, its rounded tip helps avoid any risk of injury to those being rescued.
Made from corrosion-resistant materials, the Offshore Rescue knife is exceptionally durable. Its MA5 stainless steel blade has undergone extensive testing, including the Catra test (repeated
blade back-and-forth movements on paper).
Finally, the sheath has been designed for versatile attachment options to the sailor or the boat.
Its trigger secures the knife in the sheath. Since there is no predefined direction for inserting the blade, handling is intuitive and quick.
