Over three decades, CompoTech has developed a reputation for pushing the boundaries of composite fibre winding technology. From its early days of creating paddle shafts and custom mast structures, CompoTech went on to develop carbon headfoil components for America’s Cup teams, such as Prada Challenge and Alinghi. The company also produced components for offshore racing classes, ranging from the IMOCA 60s to Mini Transats, as well as for production builds like the Seascape Edition Beneteau First. More recent applications include collaborations in superyacht rigging with Rondal and Sunreef, as well as composite telescopic structures for Wisamo's demonstration of windship technology, and applications in lightweight lifting and surveillance.

-Focus for this year is on Carbon Telescopic Masts Structures – lightweight, corrosion-free solutions for radar, navigation, lifting and surveillance systems as well as telescopic sailing yacht masts.
- Custom Filament-Wound Tubes & Beams – Mast section, round, and oval profiles engineered for marine rigging, structural beams, and foiling applications.
- Rudder Stocks & Drive shafts – fatigue-resistant solutions proven in performance cruisers and offshore racing yachts with advanced fibre winding capability for integrated connections.
- Heritage and Innovation – a showcase of landmark projects from America’s Cup campaigns to modern telescopic mast developments.

Technology Highlights: True Zero-Axial Fibre Winding
At the heart of CompoTech’s emphasis on high performance is its proprietary true zero-axial fibre placement technology. Unlike conventional winding, which cannot perfectly align fibres, CompoTech’s process allows fibres to be placed automatically exactly 0° along the tube axis. The result:
- Efficient fibre usage and processing
- Unmatched stiffness-to-weight ratio
- Improved fatigue life
- Enhanced structural integrity for marine loads
