First Azimut Grande 44M launched with Hull Vane®

The first Azimut Grande 44M has been successfully launched in Viareggio, marking another milestone for Hull Vane®. At 43.85 metres, the Grande 44M is the largest yacht ever built by Azimut and combines lightweight carbon-fibre construction, hybrid propulsion and advanced hydrodynamic optimisation.

The yacht is equipped with a lightweight carbon-fibre Hull Vane®, designed to reduce wave-making resistance, improve stern flow and enhance onboard comfort through reduced pitch and roll motions. The Hull Vane® weighs approximately 400 kg, compared with around 1,500 kg for an equivalent steel construction.

The Grande 44M made her world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2026. As the flagship of Azimut’s Low Emission fleet, the yacht brings together several technologies aimed at improving efficiency and reducing emissions.

The project demonstrates how Hull Vane® technology can be integrated into modern superyacht design while supporting both performance and comfort.

Sirena 42M

The launch of the Sirena Superyachts 42M marks an important milestone for Sirena Superyachts and Hull Vane®. At 42.2 metres, the steel and aluminium flagship is the largest yacht built by Sirena Marine to date, combining the Fast Displacement Hull Form developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects with an integrated Hull Vane®.

Designed for long-range cruising, the Sirena 42M offers approximately 433 GT of interior volume, with a focus on efficiency, comfort and generous living spaces.

The integrated Hull Vane® works together with the yacht’s stern wave system to reduce resistance and improve hydrodynamic efficiency. Its passive design also contributes to improved seakeeping and onboard comfort.

Naval architecture for the project was developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, while Luca Vallebona created the exterior and layout and Hot Lab designed the interior.

Following her launch in Turkey, the Sirena Superyachts 42M made her global debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2026, introducing Sirena Superyachts’ new flagship to the international superyacht community.

The project demonstrates how Hull Vane® technology can be integrated into a large steel and aluminium superyacht to combine hydrodynamic efficiency with comfort and long-range capability.

Hull Vane® is an energy saving and seakeeping solution for motor yachts of 12 – 120 m. It lowers the resistance to reduce the fuel consumption and noise on board and it increases the range. By dampening the pitching, heaving, rolling and yawing motions, it also improves the comfort when sailing in waves.
