Newtown, Wales – 30/10/25 — Makefast Group, a global leader in the design and manufacture of marine systems and hardware, will unveil its latest innovation — the Cassette Awning — at METSTRADE 2025 in Amsterdam.

Designed to deliver a seamless blend of form and function, the new Cassette Awning integrates effortlessly into a vessel’s superstructure, providing stylish shade and shelter with minimal visual impact. Constructed from lightweight aluminium and compatible with 12V or 24V systems, the awning can also be fitted with an optional solar-charged battery pack, offering flexible, energy-efficient operation without the need for additional wiring.

The design includes optional integrated LED lighting within the valance, creating ambient illumination for onboard comfort, and a range of mounting systems to accommodate different vessel layouts and installation requirements.

Available in standard sizes, the awning’s fully enclosed cassette protects all components when retracted, ensuring durability and ease of maintenance. The system’s marine-grade materials and precision mechanics make it suitable for both production and custom builds.
