The MTM908 propeller shaft mechanical seal is the first system designed for stern tube with an integrated pneumatic barrier Watershield®. The structure of the stationary part is usually made of techno-industrial polymers which avoid problems as ageing, puncture, fire to which the rubber is generally subject. It is designed for shafts with diameter 70 mm up to 185 mm.

The Watershield pneumatic barrier is directly integrated in the stationary case.
