The world's first sail with flexible solar cells built into its membrane, generating electricity while sailing.

HEOLE and OneSails have integrated organic photovoltaic (OPV) cells directly into the sail membrane, with lamination expertise from Flexon Composites — not attached externally as with previous solar-sail attempts. The sail folds, rolls and handles like a conventional performance cruising sail (700-850 g/sqm), while generating 1.5-4 kWh/day from a 21 sqm active area within a 100 sqm mainsail (42 integrated panels). A genuinely new category between sailmaking and solar technology.
