Our Sea Chest Inlet Design is optimized and custom-engineered for each system. During the design stage, we study the risk of cavitation and the wake occurence. A well-designed system is free from cavitation, which reduces noise and vibration, and generates a minimal wake, ensuring it does not interfere with propeller and water jet efficiency. Profjord has nearly 100 sea chest inlet designs in operation, with references ranging from high performance sail yachts to ultra-high-speed vessels.
