Certified marine-related public charities can now apply for the registration proceeds from the DAME Design Award at METSTRADE 2019. The Exhibition Committee of this world-leading trade show will select a charity from the entries submitted before 19 April. The donation will be presented during the Breakfast Briefing on Tuesday 19 November, the official start of METSTRADE 2019.
Give something back to society
The annual DAME Award is the most prestigious recognition of innovative product designs in the leisure marine industry. Several years ago, METSTRADE Show organiser RAI Amsterdam decided to donate the registration fees for the awards to a charity, as a way for the METSTRADE community to give something back to society. Every year, a DAME maritime-related charity is chosen based on submissions.
The average amount of the donation to date has been €19,000, and the 2019 figure will obviously depend on the number of registered entry fees paid. Application is now open to all certified marine-related public charities until April 19th, 2019. The Exhibition Committee will announce the successful recipient mid-May.
