Chemically tempered glass by Yachtglass
Wherever excellent visual quality is needed in addition to high strength properties, chemically tempered glass is used. That's our Hero-URG glass!
Chemical tempered glass has increased strength and thermal shock resistance. It is therefore predominantly used in yacht and ship building. With the glass submerged in a salt bath, an ion
exchange process is carried out on the surface of the glass. This preserves the surface flatness and also ensure high visual quality of the glass. The reduction in the total weight of glass units is

Heated Glass by Yachtglass
Clear visibility with our heated glass
If clear visibility is quickly required, we can achieve fast,
effective results against frost or condensation with our
heated glass. Heated glass involves a laminated safety glass.
Very thin tungsten wires are used to conduct the heat.
These are mechanically attached to the interlayer and
contacted via current-carrying copper strips. They then
conduct the heat required for deicing or decondensation to
the surface of the glass
