METSTRADE 2020 on track amid global crisis

Tuesday, 17 March 2020

The marine industry is facing difficult times. The COVID-19 coronavirus is spreading fast and the implications are grave for everyone. Shows are being cancelled and many companies have closed their offices until further notice, and many people have to work from home. Amid those difficult measures, the METSTRADE team remains confident towards the upcoming show in November 2020.

There are currently no reasons to question the planning. We follow the guidelines of the Dutch government and with the current knowledge, the show in November does not seem to be affected. Sarah Westdijk, exhibition manager: “The entire METSTRADE team is working from home, but remains focused on the exhibition in November. We are aware of the impact this situation has on the industry, yet currently there are no reasons to postpone the show. We are still very much looking forward to it. The expansion of Hall 5 has opened up a lot of exciting improvements and we have made some significant changes to the floorplan, because of that. We are working hard to implement these changes and organise the best possible show for our visitors and exhibitors."

Exhibitors

Harold Mol, senior sales consultant for METSTRADE adds: “We are very happy to see that exhibitors are staying positive and are still registering to take part in the upcoming METSTRADE Show in November. At this moment over three quarters of the show is already booked. Although times are tough, METSTRADE can, once again, be the meeting place for the marine industry this November.”
