New facility to supply high-volume plugs and moulds for European boat builders

Budapest, Hungary-based MS Marine Europe has officially launched its plug and mould production operations, offering full-scale composite tooling for boat builders and shipyards.

The company operates one of the largest CNC milling machines in its class — 20m long, 7.5m wide, and 3.9m high — allowing for the precise, large-scale production of complex plugs and moulds.

“Our aim is to become a key partner for European and global boat builders,” says Milan Sterk, CEO and founder of MS Marine Europe. “We speak the language of boat builders – from design to delivery.”

MS Marine Europe specialises in large-scale plugs and moulds for hulls, decks, and superstructures. All tooling is designed for vacuum infusion, hand lay-up, or prepreg processing – with a focus on speed, surface quality, and dimensional accuracy.

The international team behind the company brings decades of real-world experience – as mould builders, OEM distributors, and even boat builders themselves. Backed by its own research and development centre staffed with specialised engineers and composite technicians, MS Marine Europe says it continuously refines its tooling processes to meet the highest industry standards.

All moulds are built using high-performance materials: vinylester resins, Maxguard tooling gelcoats, multi-layer reinforcement with woven roving and CSM fibres, and foam core in selected structural areas.
